Project description
We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join a long-term project for an innovative company from the United Kingdom (London). The company is creating smart financial products combining established financial expertise with cutting-edge tech for building efficient and simple solutions.
This role will be a part of an Agile product team and will be engaged in internal web products used to manage customer investments and applications.
Responsibilities
- Taking part in all Scrum ceremonies – sprint planning, daily stand-up’s and retrospectives – to represent the testing function
- Reviewing User Stories and estimating the testing tasks
- Planning and executing tests on front end web applications and API’s
- Writing automated regression tests
- Maintaining the automation framework and identifying and implementing improvements
- Investigating issues that arise using your technical knowledge and skills
- Writing and executing some manual exploratory tests
- Writing and executing some non-functional tests where appropriate
- Ensuring that the SDLC and Test Strategy are followed
Required skills
- Hands-on experience with writing, executing, and maintaining automated regression tests, using Selenium with C#
- Experience in designing/maintaining automation frameworks
- Familiarity with testing on Cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) and Microservices
- Appreciation for both manual and automated testing and knowing when it is appropriate to use each approach
- Ability to use GIT or similar test repository tools and follow CI/CD processes using VSTS/TeamCity/Jenkins (or similar)
- Experience of working in an Agile Scrum development team, estimating and prioritizing testing tasks
