General QA Engineer
Project description
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our long-term project for a leading identity and authentication provider that simplifies consumer access to online services and applications. These next-generation services enable consumers to conveniently and privately assert identity information using trusted providers, such as banks, telcos, and governments, helping them connect to critical online services with a digital credential they already have and trust.
In other words, it offers a new way to help you verify who you are so you can get access to the services you want faster online, in person, and on the phone.
Responsibilities
- Write API calls from scratch using tools like Postman and SoapUI (also automation, if possible)
- Collaborate with developers to understand API specifications and requirements
- Implement and manage automation frameworks to enhance test efficiency
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools and technologies
- Be able to read requirement documents/specs and generate test cases
- Conduct end-to-end system/regression testing to ensure all requirements are met (web and mobile)
- Perform bug analysis and report bugs clearly
- Follow testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and adapt to project requirements
- Follow the process and procedure defined for the product
Required skills
- 4+ years of proven working experience in IT Quality Assurance
- Extensive practical experience with API and end-to-end testing
- Automation skills using Java or at least a strong desire to learn it
- Practical experience with writing test cases, tracking defects, reporting results
- Experience with creating and maintaining test documentation
- Familiarity with tools for web applications testing (Postman or similar)
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, enterprise testing standards
- Good understanding of SQL
- Ability to effectively perform multiple/concurrent tasks and projects within deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Upper-intermediate English level
Would be a plus
- Experience in QA Automation or at least a solid motivation to grow in this direction
- Automated tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Sauce Labs, or similar
- Coding skills using Java
- A proven track record of delivering UI test automation for web, API, and distributed systems
- Experience in security testing, performance testing
- Familiarity with network testing strategies
- Experience working with USA/Canada-located clients
- ISTQB certification
